This week I’m joined by Jeff Cannata, one of the hosts of the Filmcast as well as the video game podcast DLC and comedy science podcast We Have Concerns. Jeff has been a prominent online commentator in the entertainment industry for over 15 years, and as a huge fan I was super excited to have him on board for our first video episode.
Jeff picked My Dinner with Andre, the Louis Malle-directed 1981 movie written by and starring Wallace Shawn and Andre Gregory. The film is almost entirely based around a conversation between Wallace and Andre as they have dinner in Manhattan – an audacious subject for a movie, especially in the early 1980s.
As well as the main course, we also discuss what we’ve been watching recently, Jeff’s take on avoiding movie trailers and a new “This or That” quick-fire question section.
